In the context of buying a mattress, where you carry your weight is often more important than how much you weigh. If you carry your weight in your shoulders and upper chest, you will have different support needs than someone who carries weight in their midsection or hips.
In other words, you can have two people of exactly the same weight who need very different mattresses because of where they carry their weight. Here is an example.
Our dual comfort mattresses are single mattresses that are customized so that each side caters to you and your partner’s specific sleep needs and preferences. We typically recommend getting a dual comfort mattress in king-size or above, since each half of a king mattress is equivalent to a twin XL mattress.
Split King mattresses are two separate Twin XL mattresses housed within one bed frame, creating a king-sized bed (76″ x 80″). Having two separate mattresses allows both parties to sleep on a mattress best suited for their needs and body type while still enjoying sleeping beside one another. Your side will fit your preferences and their side will fit theirs — everyone gets the quality sleep they deserve. Here’s how it works.
